I am Only Human
So fickle a human life maybe, so distraught and in pain
But dare, I dare say, if so then a life is in vain
Fear not, threat and vows many men haft spoken
For their only excuse is, "I am only human"
Yet mortal cry tyranny against their brother man
And only in due history, will history repeat again
Lesson learned yet never taught the race marches on
And in the heat of battle, only then will they see the wrong
Man sees himself supreme, master of any and all
But this will surely mean their one and only downfall
Damage what can’t be broken, the spirit of man kind
And rightly so you have crossed over that fragile line
They seek to dominate, and spread their parody
And in turn they will bleed their cause into eternity
Man seeks his words; his whims are his and his alone
He deems himself to be his own king on his own high throne
Man wishes for good, bad, and the neutral. Always changing sides
The winner gets to be what he wants, even in their minds
Man will fight himself, mental, physical, emotionally until ending of time
Man will thusly struggle, even until he is the last of his line
Man invents, just so he can eventually destroy
All that was once known, with this passion he will deploy
Chaos far into the unknown, such is man’s eventual fate
And he has proven true, even to this current date
Words you already know, now pose a new meaning
To open your eyes, is that truly seeing?
Spread not what shouldn’t be spread
Your own words maybe your own dread.
So fickle a human life maybe, so distraught and in pain
But dare, I dare say, if so then a life is in vain
Fear not, threat and vows many men haft spoken
For their only excuse is, "I am only human"
