Full Moon Hunt
Once upon a full moon rising
I found myself blood appetizing
Through the fog, through the haze
The hungry wolf and his hungry ways
At midnight noon in the air so pure
Came the full moon, her majestic lure
My eyes alluring, a deep golden hazel
My claws slashing earth, my tongue begging appeal
My ears alert, a slight hint or sound…
Would cause me to charge my prey abound
My mind filled with sanguine blood on dark soil
My fur set, a smooth silky coat, my legs coil
For in the dark, for that I hark, the heart of my prey
And so from the shadows, my golden meadows, I attack without delay
Their fleeting feet, like high noon heat, raced from my charge
The smell of fear, which lingered in the air, drove my adrenaline at large
Their tired gasps, which made time lapse, echoed as would in a cave
The prey that I chased, they in good haste, shouted to see if they would be saved
And from the blue crystal moon, arose dear midnight noon, shadows drew like arms to my prey
In the fog, in the haze, my clawed hand I raised striking quickly without delay
And for the stars to bear witness, a sacrifice to the moon goddess, I stood triumphant and intimidating to my game
The stars so above me gleaming, like eyes they appear to be glaring, so easily killed such a shame
My mouth, full of frost white fangs, and a strong jaw like chains, I stood menacingly above my to be meal
One swift bite, all on this wintery night, I thoroughly enjoyed my fresh, human, kill.
