my fragile city
<>
o such a city
fragile like gelignite
the sun doesn't set right
it hides
hoping to survive the night
frightened in it's sorrows
held hostage by it's morrows
that predicts it's fall
have you walked these paper bridges
built by straw men
or smelled the hope ditched in ditches
with the stab of a pen
glass houses shall shatter
it's flowers have scattered
for fear of bullets and thrown stones
mummified in red tape
the only visible escape
is when it buries it's bones
have you walked these paper bridges
built by straw men
or smelled the hope ditched in ditches
with the stab of a pen
