You and I
We fit together perfectly
You and I…
My back, crammed inside the seat of your jeans
On the couch,
Just being lazy and loving
I stare at the glare the television cast
This way I don’t have to face you
And I don’t want to…
Because I can’t
When I look at you I see in your eyes all that you want from me,
Your heart, begging to trust me, looking just like a little kid
But the man in you won’t let me in
You won’t budge,
And to your surprise neither will I
I won’t push, because I know that you’ll pull away
I won’t give in because I’ll be taken by you
Swept up like a bag in a hurricane…
And God only knows if I can handle the storm
There is life in the novelty of this dance
And it has a rhythm beyond the twist and turns and
Dips and spins twirls and jerks….
With you I am standing still and dizzy
It is a whirlwind
A compilation of all of the disastrous natural beauty
And the fire that ignites it
We are flames
And I play without any fear of ever getting burned
I draw breath and I become alive in front of you
You
Excite
Me
Your Vivacity enthralls me
Here, come be by my side and let me be beautiful with you
As I conquer the world
You shall captivate heaven
I stand
You lead
We are as one…
