And on the Curve of Forgetting
There is nothing more Valid than time wasted
All of the energies lost and found in spending it
On absolutely nothing and nowhere
Not moving and running all at the same time
And even after all of the mediocrity
Somewhere within the confines of catastrophic imperfections
There lies an untapped reservoir of still
A vessel that connects to great and powerful wonders
This is the impulse that gives life a beat
That is the true defined rhythm of existence
Beautiful movement in all its fluidity
….Somewhere standing alone and unloved
There was you in the midst
My catastrophe sweeping away debris like the motions of God
And for a time, my tears were spilled into your hand
My dearest vessel
And I was connected to something more than tragedy
Something braver than my own insecurities
With you I would fly
From the richness of your laughter
I could smile
The extension of your grace
I was alive
From the bounty of your spirit
I was free
Within you I was uninhibited
There was nothing to hold me back
And now neither will there be for you
In my selfish haste,
I was eager to have you stay
Because my mortal mind could never comprehend your sudden departure
And Gods need for you there
In a space and time that perceives no limits
And exceeds all bounds
Your works were greater than this life
And to have known you at all
I am humbled
Counting the days, the seconds, and the memories
Time won’t allow me to forget or ignore the silence that fell between us
I miss you more than words now
But was angry and hurt then
Too much time slipped away
And now that you’re gone, there is no way to make it right
I could rearrange the entire alphabet to put letters that could attempt to create something meaningful
But none will do
You are a beautiful woman
And you were a work of fine art all your own
An extended masterpiece
A breathtaking reflection of Gods glory
That lit up the world
And I am grateful
One of the sweetest, dearest creatures I had ever known
I will carry you with me in my heart forever
Farewell my love
