Chances of a Broken Heart (Original)
Beyond the Nile, there is a vacant sea
my dirty restless home
where he took my heart and gave it to the breeze
Away and away I am blown
Countless hours spent watching aging paint wither to dust
There is no love to laugh away the hours
Remembering the days when my love for you was enough
Now it has spoiled like rotten meat with a shrill taste of sour
I thought that I would be yours until time got tired
But oh my love, how restless you’ve become
Bending with a heavy heart from being forgotten and no longer desired
This love, this passion, your yearning, my fire has all been undone
By the way my strange love, I think that I will take a lay in the sea
This time, when I close my eyes for the final time, I pray thou won’t forget thee
