Icebox
I dissolve into nothing and become lost time
Isolated in this Artic that is the frame of my mind
I take the form of evolution and redeem a vacant soul
I blend into the wind trying to find remedies to cure this gaping hole
Wasn’t I ice?
How can I not look like rain?
Wasn’t I the earth frozen over in misery’s pain?
How presumptuous was I to believe that love could and would mend this broken heart
Emptiness can’t be filled with someone else’s love.
Didn’t you realize my dear, that your cup must already be full?
Well I must have been mistaken, because mine was only heavy with heartache.
But still empty
Still Empty…
Empty Still
Silence…
Right here, this is the moment when I feel it
Listen…..
Can’t you hear my dying heart?
Beat
Beat
One beat
Two beats
Clear
