UNSEEN YEARNING
Feb, 1976
My heart cries out
With a tug of yearning,
For unseen things,
A desire is burning.
My soul cries out
From lack of peace;
With dispair and unrest
For this anguish to cease.
I've no where to turn
But to my Savior's face;
To find His love
And know His grace.
I always know,
If I call, He' there;
So why do I hesitate
To go to prayer?
"Come to me, child;
I see your heart.
I'll never leave thee;
I'll never depart.
Forgiveness I give,
When first you ask,
So call on me now;
It's not such a task.
My mercy is forever,
my anger but a moment,
So call on me now,
And find contentment.
Walk with me always;
In my ways never cease,
And I will give you
That longed for peace."
I came into His presence,
With repentance and shame,
For not coming sooner
When I first heard my name.
Praise God! I've found
His sweet forgiveness,
And peace in my heart,
As I walk with Jesus.
