MY SON; MY PASTOR
April 30,1989
On this your first
Anniversary, Son;
It doesn't seem
It's already been one.
You've experienced a lot
In just one year.
Some days were happy,
And others brought tears.
To pastor this flock,
That God gave you,
You asked for God's leading
And help, it's true.
You took up the challenge,
And never looked back.
You knew God had called you,
And that's a fact.
Now, as your mother,
I'm very proud,
And to tell you this,
Should be allowed.
I've been impressed
At the wisdom you've shown,
In matters where others,
Would have flown.
I tell you this,
Not as your mother,
But as one of the the flock,
As any other.
