THIS NEW YEAR; THIS NEW DECADE
95.
1-1-2010
I opened my eyes this morning, to two thousand and ten.
It’s a bright sun shiney day, fooling the minds of men.
One would think; winter is gone;
From the promise, of the sun.
Not a cloud in sight, to bring on doom.
Yet snow predicted, for week-end gloom.
It shows such promise; this day of sun shine.
I choose to think; it a hopeful sign.
This new year; this new decade;
Bringing hope which God hath made.
Last year, a year of many changes;
Our new life, it rearranges.
What does this new year have to bring?
While waiting to see; this day I’ll sing..
To know the future, is not our right;
So I’ll enjoy this day so bright.
