UNRULY TONGUE
May 23, 1992
The tongue is a unruly member.
God's word says it;-----Its true.
If mine could only be harnessed,
To do only what God wants it to;
My life wouldn't be so complicated;
There would be far less remorse;
If only I'd see, the harm or pain,
I cause by setting this course.
Lord, teach me to be slow to speak.
Help me ask, "Is it harmful or vain?"
And if I find, it's either of these,
Then help me Lord, to refrain.
