A ROAMING HEART
July 30, 1989
Today, being
So far from home,
I think of why
I chose to roam.
There's something to be said
About roots that bind,
A person's heart
To those left behind.
And yet the thrill,
Of places unknown,
Has taken the place,
Of longing for home.
