The Widow's Web
Sparkling in the sunlight ...
Shimmering in morning dew.
Attracting - men like flies,
With the nectar that is you.
It is the web you've woven,
Spinning wicked little lies.
Spitting your lethal venom,
Into unsuspecting eyes.
~~~
Just like the praying mantis ...
Who is always on his knees.
He's always taking chances,
When he tries to mate and please.
He allows her to take a lick,
Knows this time it could mean death.
As she plants her lethal kiss,
While nibbling on his neck.
~~~
The web you weave is tangled ...
Winding carefully each strand.
Ready to pounce, you dangle,
To capture yet another man.
Once trapped, there is no escape,
As you wind him up so tight.
Giving up, he accepts his fate.
~~~ Just another victim ~~~
of the Widow's bite!
~~~
