A Cry In The Knight
Somehow, It all came crashing down ~
Overwhelmed by the pressure inside.
The darkness evolves as it surrounds,
Like a venomous cloud in my mind.
Insanity exists, as you all know ~
It thrives on the souls of the tortured.
It eats like acid thru flesh and bone,
And feasts on my blood of misfortune.
The walls cave upon it's presence ~
Shaking violently as it erupts.
The ceiling cracks under it's essence,
As the foundation crumbles to dust.
The songs of angels cease to exist ~
Replaced by the screams of the damned.
The door explodes from it's iron hinges,
Splintering shrapnel 'cross the land.
The mortar melts into molten lava ~
Surrounds me quick in liquid Hell fire.
The beast rises to wrap yet another,
Piece of my sanity in it's barbed wire.
Gripping my soul with it's demonic spell ~
Filling my heart with disgust and hate.
Forever Damned to this internal Hell,
Fearing the demons that lie in the wake.
The Fortress of Clarity has vanished ~
Resolved to an insane acceptance.
All resemblance of sanity - banished,
Forever chained to this Hellish existence.
My Castle - No longer my haven ~
It's memories have been washed away.
To this eternal pain I'm enslaved in,
On bended knee ~ for my soul, I pray.
