shadow casts
on the day a shadow casts
spilling over from the past
a looming shade that blocks the light
blurs the vision and clouds the eyes
the day began from the night before
carried over a striking chord
to set the mood to a dismal grey
this casting shadow, the looming shade
i clinch my fists and grind my teeth
trying to gain a moments peace
and from my eyes the rains came down
and broke my heart with a crashing sound
through the night as i lay awake
with tiny worms devouring my brain
in the dark i feel distraught
left alone with just my thoughts
with the start of the day today
the shadow casts in paculier way
the mood is set in a dismal grey
accross my eyes a looming shade
the striking chord that i hear
a crashing sound within my ears
and from my eyes the falling rains
feeding worms within my brain
as i move and talk and feel and see
the past is alive in front of me
and on the day a shadow casts
a dismal grey that i must outlast
