    ive wished

    often ive wished of catching a falling star
    so maybe i could wish for real
    hold it as it glowed in my hands
    and allow my body to heal


    once i wished that i could hug a rainbow
    so maybe i could feel its glow
    let its warmth wash upon my skin
    and allow my thoughts to slow


    sometimes ive wished i could kiss the sky
    so maybe i could feel its depth
    press the clouds upon my lips
    and allow my psyche to rest


    today i wish i could consume the sun
    so maybe i could find the light
    illuminate the darkened shadows
    and allow myself to end this fight
