a mournful rain
a mournful rain fills the sky
matching the sadness i feel inside
dark and grey the day weighs down
covering the ground without a sound
as i look for the sun the rain stings my eyes
the tears from the sky and my own collide
melding together a saturation of woa
spilling together on the ground below
the chill in the air ripples my skin
cuts to the bone i shudder within
the cold that i feel on my hands and my face
equals the cold that i feel from my pain
the visions i see when i look outside
a world in grey shades of black and white
splashes of color seem to dissolve and fade
paint washed away by a mournful rain
the sun wont come out and cast golden rays
it seems that the grey will stay here today
and the tears from the clouds will continue to fall
stinging my eyes and melding and all
