NIGHTMARE IN HELL
Days and nights became drops, as my heart bled in my cell.Eventually forming the river crimson, flowing through the gates of Hell.
My fiery dreams are images, of the sweet scenes of home.
But these dreams are nightmares, teasing me while I'm alone.
I fight to awake, because my eyes begin to scorch.
I become breathless from failed attempts, of trying to blow out a torch.
My loved ones become demons, laughing as I cry.
While boiling tears run down my face, forming welts as I lie.
As the cruelty of dismay, is invading my brain.
My common sense is being conquered, as I try to stay sane.
All over my body I feel bites, as the hounds of Hell begin to tug.
While stings, pierce my nerves from millions of flaming bugs.
I'm begging and pleading, to escape my own sleep.
My legs run; but my feet don't move, as my enemies creep.
Now I'm screaming and yelling; but my sounds are hushed.
As I choke from soot and smoke, from the smoldering of burning brush.
I suddenly realize my fear, is what's fueling my strife.
So I stop, to face my ghouls. I need not run for my life.
As I stare at my nemesis, they fall dead from my gaze.
I've awaken; and I welcome, the beginning of new days.
