"Pardon Me America, but...."
I built this country; and you give me no respect.
I demand the rights you offer, and you hang me by the neck.
I know not my faith; cause you've beaten it out of me.
I was forced with YOUR belief, and taught YOUR history.
I was promised 40 acres; but you gave me slums.
I am invited to the table; but you feed me crumbs.
I am told I am equal; but you shoot me in the back.
I get persecuted for the crime, of being born Black.
