Wishes Upon a Star
In the dark of the night,
When the stars are shinning bright,
We watch the sky,
Waiting for the moment,
To make a wish.
As I wish upon a star,
That is oh so far,
I wonder if my wish will make it,
To the star up there above me,
I don't wish for world peace,
But I wish for my missing piece,
The piece that would fill me with joy,
And that would wash all my worries away.
The very next day,
I arrive at school,
And across the room,
My eyes meet yours,
And instantly the fire In heart,
Ignites ands starts to burn.
I never thought that,
I could feel like this,
This feeling is unimaginable,
My heart starts to race,
And I can't get you off my mind.
But You are a poison in my veins,
The venom seeps into my brain,
Images of you dance around my mind,
Filling me with joy and despair,
Because I need you here with,
To calm the shakes and pain.
Then we started talking,
And together we started walking,
Then I spilled my thoughts on paper,
Asking for your hand.
Just like that,
My life changed for the best,
My world was turned upside down,
And I'm glad that it did.
Because where I was headed,
Was worse than hell,
Everyday was the same,
Blasting my music ,
To drown out the world,
Because I thought I was alone.
But you changed that,
Now I fell in love,
And I never thought,
Something like this would happen to me.
