Thinking of you
Back down an old dirt road,At the edge of a field of flowers,
Lies a great oak tree,
On the bark lies a heart,
With words inscribed,
That read our name.
Here we sat in the shade,
And talked about the future, and what it will hold,
In our heads, we pictured us married,
Living happily together.
But what would become of us,
Was beyond our comprehension .
Now you are happily with him,
While I sit under our tree,
And think "where did it go wrong?"
Was it something I said?
Or was it some we couldn't control?
But whatever it was,
It has plagued me with sadness.
And here I sit, thinking of you.
