the letter
In my mind I see you,Standing there, in the moonlight,
Folding a piece of paper,
With my name, scripted upon it.
You seal the letter,
With a precious kiss,
That slowly caresses the paper,
And turns it anew.
You set the paper down,
And walk into the darkness.
I cry when i see you leave,
And frantically retrieve the paper,
With graceful skill,
My name is written in script,
And lays beside it a carefully drawn heart,
One that dazzles the eye, with it's beauty.
On the inside,
Are words that are incomprehensible ,
Simple words, but are unfamiliar.
They float off the page,
And swirl about me.
They take me back to the days,
The days where all we would do,
Is cuddle, and talk about randomness,
The days where you were mine.
But reality sets in again,
And I realise that my nightmares,
Have come true, I'm without you.
