To Be a Kid
Ahh, to be a kid again, when things are all the same
and what you to to make a friend is simply ask their name.
Ahh, to be a kid again, all you have to do is bleed
to get everything you want, everything you need.
Ahh, to be a kid again, when you feel some fright,
you just run right into mothers arms, and everything's alright.
Ahh, to be a kid again, the worst is a scraped knee,
grown up, you have a broken heart, or much worse it seems.
Ahh, to be a kid again, coloring on the floor,
though you can do that as an adult. All the time, I'm sure!
Ahh, to be a kid again, so young, and so naive,
I'm not a kid, not anymore. Shall i pull up my sleeve?
Ahh, to be a kid again, comforted all the time,
and I'm sure by now, you have to have lost interest in my rhyme.
My message, in this rhyme,
you see, is to let you know,
How much my childhood means to me,
I don't want to let it go.
and what you to to make a friend is simply ask their name.
