So Many Have Nothing, When Others Have Everything
Can you imagine not having anything to eat or drink?
Is this a concept that makes you stop for a second to think
With no money to spend because you do not have a job
You feel like a lonely stranger, an outcast, and a slob
How does the world look at you when you don’t have a thing?
Wishing deep inside that someone would have the heart to bring
Your poor and weary body that’s digging for anything it can find
To survive another day in this cruel world that will rob us blind
Millions struggle every day just to make a dollar they can use
Others live without essential items such as water that we abuse
Then some of us just barely afford what we have obtained
While a minority holds wealth and possessions that they’ve gained
How can we feed the millions that are starving to death each day?
What can we do about the water shortage that kills life in someway?
Can we search inside our greedy hearts and kindly give a little cash?
Were not as poor as we may think so make the effort to start a stash
Were luckier than most because many of us can take a shower?
Watch TV, feed our families and even have electrical power
Why can’t we be thankful for all these things that we often cherish
Some struggle to even breathe clean air and will eventually perish
We could live on less if we trust God and let Him work in our heart
We could be the difference for somebody to have a brand new start
So think about all the things that you take for granted everyday
Because there are families out there who would love to live this way
If you see a struggling mother try to make it on one check to survive
Or walk across a homeless man trying to make a dollar to stay alive
Then stop to tell them God loves them and He will provide a way
Lend a helping hand and offer a small portion on what you can today
