In the Days of Old
Long before time there was one God that existedback in the genesis days of old He reigned
the dark serpent of betrayal took his stand
but to God's wrath he did not prevail,or measure up to God's hand
Sin was his entrapment, his terror of imprisonment
the dark fiery pits of hades was his residence
for love he did not seek but hate, war and blood
my God came to defeat with the powers of love
A tree of great knowledge stood amid
this garden where Adam and Eve lived
the dark serpent tested his tongue
he shot lies at the woman like a loaded gun
His determination to bring lust to her eyes
this was the downfall of man in it's wicked disguise
the serpent was hoping to rise to acclaim
but his lies never gained him any type of fame
The Devil, Satan, the Prince of Lies
call Him what you want it's no surprise
every story has some type of end
this is about the fall to envious sin
