Do you feel as if the walls surrounding you are slowly closing in?

Are you tired of always dealing with problems time and time again?

Do you need a clearer picture than what your getting on your TV?

My connection to you is lost somewhere in this static that I see

Can I get tuned in to receive a better signal than one I have got?

It’s too weak to find a connection since I need to find a hot spot

I have seen how this world creates static with all the sin they stack

Will I find the signal that I need to break through and get on track?

Are we really tuning in on our lives to God or simply tuning out?

This interference we are getting blinds us of what life is all about

While our ears are like antennas picking up all these sound waves

That bounce off towers to send us images back that its signal gave

How many channels do we flip through just to find a show we like?

Are your eyes tuned off the world or do thoughts elevate to spike

Your interest on a movie that draws you in with such attractions

That create illusions for the mind from a world that wants reactions

We are painting a silhouette of how we want our lives drawn out?

Are we really giving God the time with all the TV that can’t amount

To the awesome wonders we tune out from distractions here on earth

Let this spiritual signal tune you into a life of peace and a rebirth

We catch ourselves spending hours watching shows during the week

But only devote an hour to God on Sunday when we must be meek

How does it come to this that an hour seems to satisfy our very need?

Then fill the rest of our week with other things that we allow to feed

Our minds that soak up like a sponge as we peak into the shiny glass

That draw our eyes in like a magnet that we slowly let everything pass

We need to screen our wounded eyes that take pleasure at new sights

Filter the perversion, corruption, and things that black out all the lights

And color our world with beautiful images like flowers, Jesus, and love

One day we’ll all pass away so be ready for that time to be with Him above

For we only get one life to get things right with the God of the universe

So make the choice to tune in now or you will surely see things get worse

The big picture I’m trying to view is a full colored life with the One

Static cannot break this connection that builds a bridge to God’s own son

A bond to strong to sever and a promise that will never be broken

When words come out of the Savior’s lips, truth will always be spoken

So clear your mind and imagine that this world is like a motion picture

You’re the main character who plays the role of a man living by scripture

Who devotes his whole life to Christianity and submits his heart to God

With so much love contained within and a passion to live by this path I trod

Never willing to surrender my faith and lose all sight of a beautiful life

For God will get me through all of the pain, misery and endless strife
