So Far Gone, But Not Forgotten
You let yourself waste away until your so far gone
Completely unaware of the pain you are bringing on
Your spirit’s trapped and is trying to remain dormant
Why do you let these hungry demons come and torment?
We shut our eyes when we don’t want to see the violence
We close our mouths in fear of hurting so we go in silence
But don’t we all have the right to our very own opinion
Why are you sleeping child! Don’t you know God’s dominion
We fail to see how this world betrays us without an apology
Your life is so far gone, but don’t lose your soul to technology
For we live in a generation where faith is not always accepted
Many have trouble relying on this method that often gets rejected
We must awaken the inner flame that slowly seems to die
How will you ever pick yourself up if you don’t even try?
For I continue to bury myself further into the ground below
The world hurls lies and insults but I will take the blow
I’m pleading for a second chance to get things right again
I’m pushing myself past obstacles to lose all sight of sin
Though I may be gone for now, I will never be forgotten
For there’s a greater love inside this cruel world so rotten
I see how you put a song in my heart that I love to hear
You brought light into my darkness so I’d no longer fear
You sparked the beauty all around that fills up every day
You have shown us true hope so we would learn to pray
You still remain faithful and love us even at our worst
Your amazing love is enough to make any heart burst
As we cross different paths that circle around and twist
I think about the pain of those nails driven into your wrist
So as we begin to understand the depth of His great love
We no longer feel a distance between earth and sky above
We will unveil the mysteries of life and find what He can do
For He is a God that won’t forgot or ever give up on you
