My world shatters like a mirror so all I see now is distortion

Who am I to you as I try to picture a life of perfect proportion

Am I just a fool who fails each time I try to simply improve

I want to know if there is more to my life as I make the first move

First I must overcome this contagious disease that impairs my sight

My body fights to prevent this monster from taking me in the night

But my will to continue resisting is grower weaker as I begin to slip

Would it be okay if I just taste the world and simply take a little dip?

Will I swim inside a pool of love or just drown in a river of blood?

Can you feel a rush of joy swell inside or does hate begin to flood

Is your faith being murdered or tested beyond what you can bear?

Where do you find hope when all is lost and did your heart suddenly tear?

Does nothing seem possible or has fear entered into your mind?

Can you picture a love that will sweep you off your feet to blind

Your eyes from a world that cannot bring fulfillment the way You do

You mean more to me than all I have and you always pull me through

I need a superhero on my side to help me fight the battles I get in

I cannot run away from truth and love that renews me deep within

But my breathing gets so heavy and my guilt is tearing us apart

How do you cope with this pain and fear of death inside your heart?

I will breathe again because I have put my trust in the unseen

Faith, hope and love come from Him as He washes us all clean

So I never have to fear again what is coming to me in the end

Jesus prepared a place for me and has become my greatest friend
