Can you please wake me up if you happen to find me sleeping?

It’s my love for God that is the strength within that’s keeping

My heart well balanced and my mind fully focused on the truth

I have something to prove to the audience that consist of youth

So what can wake these sleeping eyes that drift away and hide?

A living flame that kindles my soul that’s cracking from inside

Cause no love can shine brighter than all the sparks that ignite this

We are called to be a light for this world that lives in darkness

What are we doing to wake these daydreamers that are shifting?

Further away from the Spirit of God with their minds now drifting

Into a surreal world that your mind drew up while it was sleeping

There’s nothing that can stop this dream process from slowly seeping

As I imagine that I’m running through a beautiful mountainside meadow

Breathing in the cool air and playing as if time is moving really slow

I gaze into a rippling stream that flows through this field I have dreamed

I see my reflection through the glassy waters that make shapes that seemed

So real to me that I must question my subconscious mind that you shook

It’s making me realize my imperfections so I need to take a second look

I have often wondered why so many people pass up the chance to find

The pathway to eternity that will reveal the truth to all those that are blind

Were waiting for something greater that God has planned for everyone

Something to big for us to fathom until His heavenly kingdom has come

And with my eyes I capture the beauty of nature that sings us a hymn

As my dreams soon begin to come alive and open new worlds once dim

I pray that we don’t stop dreaming cause its painting new ideas for all

It can build a bridge that will tie our unity to Christ who took our fall

Can you picture the blood, sweat and tears that dropped from his face

He became disfigured and was betrayed on a cross for the human race

I see no end to the possibilities that would be formed if we all unite

Allow His love to run into our veins like a chemical that could ignite

A feeling too deep or heavy to ignore because of the danger it possesses

Your words are inscribed into my heart forever and Your love caresses

Even the blackest heart that has been filled with so much pain and disgust

We can always start this life over again and rebuild all of the lost trust

So many wandering strangers are searching their souls lost in a trance

We find ourselves running the opposite direction from true romance

But all they want to really feel is the sunlight soaking into their skin

The warmth of its radiating heat that slowly penetrates deep within

A satisfying sensation that can be shared by anyone that lets it burn

This is what God’s love feels like so make that 180 degree turn

This daydreaming we all encounter will pull us deep into the black

Our faith can be erased in just a second by the devil who holds us back

So take a moment to strategically plan a way to stay focused and alert

Because this sinful world will find so many ways to simply hurt

Our minds with all the garbage it fills and spear our hearts with hate

We cannot accept defeat and let our weaknesses fall hard to the bait

Are we truly trying to make real progress or just sink into the trap?

Don’t give up and stop what your doing when your on the final lap

Keep pushing and striving for the finish line where the prize awaits

Cause we want to show the world were different by our spiritual traits

Be careful if you begin to daydream since it can make you slip away

Into a forgetful state of mind that will leave you in such disarray

It’s frustrating to others and ourselves that we fail to think clear

We just let our thoughts drift into the wind where they disappear

God will give us the strength to endure any challenges that we face

Take us home to your world that is far away from this earthly place

Shelter me with angel wings and protect me from all the world’s harm

Don’t let these mighty winds stir up turmoil that is sounding the alarm

We need to stay on constant watch since we never know what to expect

Figure out the truth from a lie so we can live a life that we can accept

I keep on chasing after all these dreams but what are they telling me

Do you have a definition that can describe a character such as I be?

Sometimes I don’t understand why I try so hard to even figure out

The vastness of time and space that come together to share a deep amount

Of mysteries for my traveling eyes that have not seen such works displayed

I know the wonders and powers of God have and always will amaze

Open up my mind and let me dream of how our lives need to generate

Courage, love, hope, and truth for all those who continue to wait

Come pour a light over these sleeping eyes that need to be awakened

Lord use me to teach Your Word and may my message truly shaken

All the hearts and minds of those who refuse to listen to what I say

All we can do is take it to God and simply bow before Him and pray
