Life is like a Candle Slowly Fading Out
Daylight dies like a flickering candle that slowly melts itself away
Were like burning wax because we get on fire for God who lights the way
Then we slowly step back and drip to nothing as life slides from our hands
Our faith comes and goes like the wind that breaks forth with commands
Why do we let ourselves fade into obscurity, never to be seen again
This candle that depicts our lives will eventually burn out by our sin
We cannot continue to watch as this tiny flame dissolves to smoke
The world is burning out the light that we need to use as a way to choke
The devil’s scheme that he unveils when were much too weak to move
His disguise will be revealed because He has something he wants to prove
However, when things don’t happen the we plan for them to go in life?
We point the blame at God and say he put us through this pain and strife
Again the candle dims to where its barely lit and to the point its not seen
This shows how little our faith is and how we don’t even care to lean
On the promises of God who designed this earth with a purposeful plan
He knows every detail as small as can be and He gave us the Son of Man
So how can we say the world revolves around something other than Him
Without the creator, we have nothing to show for and our future is dim
You sparked the cosmos with your hands of greatness stretching out
Over bodies of waters and mountains that have no boundaries to count
Time has no place in Your world where years seem to only feel like hours
I’m standing here alone ready to witness how your love truly empowers
The vastness of space that rest between our bodies below and sky above
Never have I encountered anything as amazing as Your gift of love
That shines through like a burst of sunlight that heats my skin so intense
That it burns me from inside and fills my heart that has become so immense
A satisfaction too amazing for words to describe this awesome wonder
It will hit you like a bolt of lightning and shake you like a clap of thunder
Souls will glow like the moon and be charged by celestial energy in the air
We will fall face down before the face of God whose presence is everywhere
Our tongues will sting like venom from the words of praise that we let out
Curious eyes will shift their attention to see what our lives are really about
Our hearts will be targets for criticism but were fueled with spiritual emotions
That will crush the enemy so he gets a taste of scripture and loving devotions
Cause we cannot back down when we start to feel all this pressure grow inside
Let your faith move mighty mountains and destroy the devil that finds ways to hide
Take charge of your life for it can melt away like the wax from a candle
Without the strength of God in me I don’t believe that I could handle
This world that tortures my beliefs and mocks my God who is alive
I can feel His mighty power surge throughout my body that waits to arrive
In His most glorious Kingdom where souls are united after they die
So receive salvation which is the doorway to heaven where we’ll fly
Reborn with new flesh, a renewed spirit and a hope that won’t ever end
A beautiful garden filled with souls that are welcomed by this perfect friend
