During my moments of struggle I often take my eyes off You

I’m missing the time we spent in prayer and reading my Bible too

I know your shadow is right behind me as it covers me like a cloud

I feel a warm sensation but I still walk away because I hear no sound

A coldness like the winter frost burns my soul deep beneath my skin

My heart wants satisfaction but its searching in the wrong places again

Please help me find what I need the most before it passes far away

Give me eyes that long to know the truth as I seek out another day

I cannot bear to live with all this shame and guilt that hinders me

God can you break these chains and release the pain so I feel free

Please let your love saturate deep into my soul so it can overflow

I want a closeness that even a family can’t give so I can truly know

The greatness of our God who created us all for His own pleasure

God knows we make mistakes but He still sees us as precious treasure

No one can understand the depth of His love or even try to measure

I thirst for more of You as I dwell on thoughts when I find leisure

Come out from where your hiding and remove the mask you wear

Live your lives as they were meant to be seen when others stare

For we all have got a calling, however some of us do not know

Learn to put your trust in God and He will reveal himself and show

No matter how difficult life becomes you can always make it through

Face the challenges with God’s help because he wants to carry You

Your never too far away from Him since He is always by Your side

Even when your at your very worst and trying so hard to hide
