    Inspiration never ceases when you have a tender, loving son.

    Little Son

     Little Son

     

    Shining Bright

    Strongest beacon in my sight

    Spending moments for your might

    Tender Heart

    Held me constant from the start

    May our hearts never be apart

    Loving Gaze

    Your Simple Daze

    Brings me joy in every way

    Gentle Touch

    Innocence and such

    Your tiny hands can do so much

    Smiling Eyes

    Warm and Dear

    Makes all worries disappear

    Courageous Laugh

    Inciteful, happy chaff

    Beckons all to see their path

    Dearest One

    Do you know what you’ve begun

    Your restless journey in the sun

    As you sleep, your breath caressing my face

    I lay awake and dream in your happy space

    Because of You

    How my life came into view

    Now I understand my soul's destiny

    In you is how I came to be

    Did You come to rescue me

    Endless Curiosity

    Sends one wandering where you’ll be

    As you grow and grace the world

    How your beauty will unfurl

    Beautiful, M. Jacobs. I know this feeling all too well. My youngest becomes a teenager next march. I have two poems you might enjoy. A Father's Love and The Journey. Both are for my children. Thank you for this wonderful write. TS

    Very beautiful and endearing for those of us with children. I recall my newborn daughter keeping us so busy as newlyweds, and thought that because she was in our lives, she was the one taking care of us, by being on that path of parenthood. Thanks for sharing.

    On the exchange between a child and parent, many times I find myself realizing how important he is to me and how he needs me and this is part of the gift of being a parent, the knowing of your role and the dependance of the child on all that you do and that you depend on them, as well, in a very different way. There is a delicate balance and the happiness of the child and the parent relies on this.It is the most gratifying experience, if done appropriately.

    Truly, no matter what. This is the deepest love I have ever known, barring knowing Christ and his everlasting gift.
