    Barter

     Life has loveliness to sell-
    All beautiful and splendid things.
    The meadowlark in downy dress
    in mellow notes he gayly sings.
    Thick green grass in pastures wide
    and pine trees on a mountainside.

    Life has loveliness to sell-
    Raindrops falling like a screen
    bringing with them life and hope.
    Sounds of children's happy laughter
    ringing through our minds long after.

    Life is lovely and more. Just the fact that so many people are much more than they seem, much deeper than anyone seems to understand. Poetry is such a gift and sometimes even a bit of a lifesaver.

    All free...yet, they are the finer things in life. A fast paced world misses all this. Good poem!
