Innocent
Innocent
They say hell hath no fury like a woman’s scorn
‘Tis true, seeing the fury at work in lives torn
Front news pages and shattered life stories
As innocent men serve in dark cells of worry
Marriages and families broken
Heartbreak seen and unspoken
Equality and justice seem not to be present
Allowing this sadness and unfair descent
So many have lost the unlikely struggle
Battled to be clear and their name unmuddled
Long after, how do they all carry on,
From the aftermath all placed by a woman’s scorn
