At Mother's Tender Breast
At Mother’s Tender Breast
At Mother’s Tender Breast
Is where I find my rest
I will lay
I will pray
In mother’s graceful nest
Gentle is her face
When I’m resting in this place
Much sanctity and safety
I find between her lace
Until sleep overcomes
She guards me with her song
Although the day is long
I will play
I will stay
Gathering hope, becoming strong
No other peace relates to mother’s
quiet charms
I will lay
I will stay
In mother’s loving arms
She nurtures my visions and dreams
Magically understanding, she seems
For shelter and refuge she stands
The power of angels, she commands
Forever, my heart and head gently land
In mother’s healing hands
Carefully plans were sewn
I will still crave,
but I’ll be brave
Until I’m on my own
