Stop Pretending
Stop pretending you're a child
You're an adult, you know better.
You know there isn't a monster in your closet.
You know how to take care of yourself.
You know what's wrong and what's right.
You know that money doesn't magically grow on trees.
You're not a child, so act your age.
Stop pretending that you care.
You don't care about your family or your friends.
You don't care what people say about you.
You don't care about your future.
You don't care about the weak.
You don't care about your life.
You don't care who it is you hurt next.
Stop pretending the world is perfect.
It's filled with people painfully dying.
It's filled with children, lonely and crying.
It's filled with bare trees waiting for life.
It gives us dark and pain, or night and terror.
The world is just as imperfect as you.
It's anything but perfect.
