Star-Crossed Lovers
Two teenagers, dancing in the rain, laughter preserved in stone.
No worries about the fading moonlight, or the lightening in the distance.
Glistening eyes brightened by love.
Her hair is caught being blown in the breeze,
and a little girl and her mom watch them from across the street.
Just the two hearts, together with the stars,
and the falling diamonds.
Someone said, “ Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness
has never danced in the rain.”
They look up at the falling rain, and look at the time,
a frown coming to his face.
Laughter grows louder as they make the most of their short time together.
The pair will be that way forever.
Each has a life of wonder and love left.
Both of them longing to be together forever.
Each of them remembered by that one mesmerizing photograph. ♥
