Silent Screams
They try to convince themselves that they're not alone.
The try to find excuses for all they have done.
They try to accept the help people try to give them.
But they know the silent screams don't help them.
But they know the attention scares them.
But they know it burns.
Just like a plea for help lost.
Just like the sting of life's path.
Just like the nightmare of dying.
Sometimes, they act like it doesn't matter.
Sometimes, they close their eyes instead of facing the truth.
Sometimes, they act like everything is fine.
They can't pretend it doesn't hurt.
They can't hope and pray for things that won't come true.
They can't act like none of it happened.
Because they have lived the life.
Because they know the pains.
Because they hear the silent screams.
Because...They know they can change.
