Everyone
You were once happy.
You were once the boy who smiled at it all, no matter what.
You were once the boy who laughed at inside jokes, whether they were funny or not.
You were once the boy who found refuge in his music and let the world hear it.
You were once the boy that lit up the room, no matter how dark it was.
You were once loved.
You were once the girl who'd be wrapped in your mother's arms, to keep you safe.
You were once the girl who'd get carried on your father's shoulders, to feel taller.
You were once the girl who had all the friends in the world.
You were once the girl who lived each day to it's fullest, since life's too short to be sad.
You are the baby.
You are the baby who gets all the attention, wrapping everyone around your finger.
You are the baby who's got a lot to learn, and a lot to live.
You are the baby who will be the striking resemblance to your mother.
You are the baby who will go through a lot, but never stop dreaming.
I am the one.
I am the one who excepts the worst, but never gives up hope.
I am the one who is content with being miserable, after all, other people have it worse.
I am the one who tells everyone to be happy, even if I don't do it myself.
I am the one who sits here writing this, because it's the only way they'll listen.
We are all different people, but deep down we are everyone too.
