    Some
    search their entire life for
    the promised land

    some
    think it is in a book

    some
    think they might have missed it
    and
    take another look

    some
    think it is over there

    some
    dont care

    some
    think it is here
    some
    think it is near

    let me tell you
    a secret
    I hope you will understand

    it is you
    that is
    the promised land

    things
    seldom understood
    temples
    of flesh and blood

    nothing in that land
    is built
    with man's hand

    are you still searching for
    the promised land|

    the kingdom
    is within you

    in every woman
    and
    every man

    that has become

    the promised land
