Morning on Nooksak
I often look back
to the
morning on Nooksak
just after sunrise
what a nice suprise
eagles fishing
salmon and trout
find myself wishing
there is no doubt
that a moment like this
could go on for an eternity
my sons and me
they had a lot of
fun
they had a ball
on river Nooksak
and
Whatcom falls
the pacific north west
cascadia to some
heaven to us
and
where we had a whole lot of fun
that morning on the Nooksak
I will never forget
on rivers bank where I sat
feels like a dream
all
the things
we have seen
I would give any thing
just to go back
to
that morning
on the Nooksak
gazed at the high hills
covered in winters
first snow
that morning on the Nooksak
is where my heart wants to go
salmon and trout
leap into mornings
cold,crisp air
blacktail deer
drinking
seemingly
witout a care
I look at my sons
on the morning rivers light
soul delights
eagles take flight
all in silence
but
all three of us know
the morning on Nooksak
where love glowed and even flowed
