Today I woke another day,
someone took my sun away,
no rays to shine and light the way,
no words to show what  I need to say.

I had a constant in my life,
It was cut out with her knife,
left me abandoned in blackest strife,
thank you and thank you my dear wife.

I was lost in the forest dank,
I'd fallen off the treetop's flank
I'd watched my mind go so blank,
to add notches to your rank.

I can't claim innocence , no not by far,
I can see her subornation that left me ajar,
I admit that I'm tainted  but not enough to part,
the love I hold for them in my heart.

I close my eyes , try to forget the pain,
I move through the motions again and again,
only to find myself standing in the rain,
the hole created, my soul crimson stained.
