©2010 The Child you Bore, The Man we love
You carried him in your womb
I carry him in my heart
did nine months come too soon?
umbilical tie severed, communal blood parting.
You held him as a newborn
now I hold him in my arms
when he became a toddler were you torn
missing the warmth of his skin, his fierce charm?
You walked him through childhood and teenage years
I walk him into the depths of my truest care
Ill bet you cried so many tears
knowing his divinity and angelic stare.
You see the man you created
we see how special he is
lets teach him not to underate
how handsome and wonderful he still is
how sight of him restores our blisses.
