©2010 The Beast within (A human without)
You say my intuition is strongI dont want to hear what it's saying
Here in complacency for too long
Weary for my heart's no toy or thing.
What we have I've never had before
A past guideless, so alone
I'd learned the Voice in my mind's core
In dreams and feelings it cuts to the bone.
Echoeing now in the back of my head
The many fears being played upon
Telling signs say I'm better dead
Not heeding the call of the wild to forever roam.
I can't deny the thrill it brings
To hear this music so untamed
Sacred to the child inside, alive they sing
Wooded paths on Moonlit nights my soul's bane.
Once again I howl to the dark
Knowing my call is not unheard
The fire burning within is free and stark
I speak without uttering a human word.
