Without You
The link of your cuff got me hooked to your sideMy life threatened if by your rules I don't abide
A prisoner of my own imagination
Narrated by none other than my aggrevation
A light that was once so bright straight ahead
Dimming faster and faster laying me to bed
Softly feeling the whispered vibrations making my hair stand still
Coverless and falling to rest in a cold chill
My body frozen like ice
Seeing now that leaving you came with a price
Even though I was never anything more
What I would give just to see you walk through that door
I sit here empty, reminiscing all from before
And how my face hit the floor
The very first time I saw you before you even made a sound
My heart fell to the ground and suddenly bound
I've lost words but the emotions will last till I can no longer speak
Forever after even, though without you I continue to grow weak
To no longer be confined to the sins of depression
Would mean to be wrapped in the arms of your affection
Only God could ever determine such a day
But come what may....
I can't bear to utter a word about how I'd feel to see you again
But I can dream of you effortlessly till then
