Premonition
To see the joy in that young girls face
As she's held by the youg man whose come back home
They're laughing and crying with disbelief
An incredible moment that will never be taken away
They're talking about times before
Wishing the times they missed together had never gone by
Now that it's over and everything's ok
Being together again makes it a better day
The young man tells the young girl stories about his missions
And the young girl glares in admiration as she listens
They stick side by side like the he's never left
Continuing their friendship as if nothing ever happened
The hope that she held for this young mans life
Was the light within herself that she can keep breathing
To let go of the fear to see her heart come back alive
Calming herself down and thinking of what it will be like
The young mans return so dearly cherised
Catching up on what seemed to be forever
Touching him as a blind person would
Making sure she's not dreaming
The young girl still holds her breath
Til the young man returns home
But just grasping upon that hopeful premonition
Awaiting to live it out just as told
