Vacant
Mesmerized by the lights above meCooped up in this cube of silence
Engraved in this weary vessel
Stands a silhouette of a soul I once had
The laughter it punched out of me
The tears it dried off my cheeks
The balance it held within me
The love it stamped across my lips
The heart I pushed away
The deepest of them all
Was the brightest star
That I could never wish upon again
Cold and dark I write this spirit
To come back to me like old times
Seeming the chance that star stays afloat
I'd rather glare upon it if unable to recatch it,
than it to die and disappear forever
