Stand Tall to Fall Short
It's been said if you don't stand up for something, you'll fall for anythingWhat to do if you fall for something you stood up for?
Close to what you thought was a true meaning
But turns out to be nothing but a burned castle of wild dreams that live no more
How could it be that I let this story ride on it's own
And it happens to change under my nose?
No matter what book is open it all ends in tragedy
Yet not once have I foreseen what was to come
I stood up for something
But I also kept falling for the same old thing
Because of the many ways deceit can shape it's appearance
I'm the pages and the universe is my narrator
Here's my life that I seem to longer be living
Just when I thought it couldn't get any more real than this
Hello my name is: Nobody
My occupation: Nothing
I have no more words for this story has ended
But I still flip every second over the mistakes that own me
I will no longer be an open book for the world to call me out on
I no longer have the strength to wear myself inside out
