The Girl Who Always Tried

There once was a girl who always tried
And when she did, it never went right
Attempts of making her own decisions were always denied
And she ended up always having to put up a fight

She was always in the shadows where no one would notice
She got torn down for they thought she wasn't trying
So she gave up and lost all focus
And everything died in every tear that she was crying

This girl felt so alone and confused
Like being caged up forced to do tricks to survive
Couldn't do much but be beaten and used
Watching from hell as everyone else lived their lives

Here this girl lies envious of those with the power of will
All she ever wanted was to live her way
Til this day she stopped caring but still...
She knows her chance will come again some day
