Every Man For Himself
It's always been said that you'll understand when you're olderHow old is that exactly you may ask?
Because I'm still seeing people having to look over their shoulder
While others falsely portray themselves behind their manmade mask
Failing miserably in an attempt to seem to be the best
Lead by example by stepping on those below you to get there
I speak for all when I say these thoughts to get off my chest
Leaving those in a hole knowing you don't have any care
Hypocritical and egotistical; two of which are none to desire
How you just let little words and phrases fall off your deceitful tongue
Walking around with your head up your ass as we burn in the fire
Even those above you got you sprung
Some of us have been misguided
A family you say but it seems we're missing a father
For some reason in you some confided
But now, there's no point in still trying to bother
